, known also as albán, albar, jerez, jerez fina, listán blanca, palomino de Jerez, palomino fino and tempranilla blanca, among other names, is a high yielding variety with large clusters, oval medium-sized grapes with thin skin and a golden color. It produces generous wines with little body and a yellow-green color, such as the fine wine, the olorosa and the amontillado. It is grown primarily in Jerez and is used to complement other varieties in other regions such as the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla y León and Galicia, being present in numerous denominations of origin. Outside Spain, it is also found in South Africa.
