The Lagavulin 12 Years is an annual special edition with the essences of Islay distillery. Fabulously appetizing. Less citrus acidity than previous expressions. A good example of the brand. Very nice and even better with water. Color: Deep Amber. Nose: A typical Lagavulin nose that also shows great finesse, with less ripe fruit than earlier bottlings. Bergamot scented wood smoke surrounds sophisticated sweet aromas; Soft and creamy toffee sauce on digestive biscuits with milk chocolate chips. Later, appetizing notes white pepper and lemon. With water, the aromas embrace toasted cereal and to lead us to roast and nutty qualities, but always elegant smoked returns. Body: MedioPaladar: Dusty, very sweet, smoky. Let the tingling tongue. Cleaner water, which gives a mouthfeel smooth and smoky sophisticated. Finish: Long and smoky, with large amounts of smoke exquisite and elegant smoky aftertaste. Toasted sesame seeds and basil. Water brings Indian spices (toasted cumin).
