Experts · 2015 La Garnacha de Mustiguillo
Robert Parker: 90/100 (2015 La Garnacha de Mustiguillo)The same as with the 2015 red Mestizaje, I previewed the 2015 La Garnacha de Mustiguillo the last time I tasted their bottled wines, and this time I tasted the bottled version next to the already-bottled 2016. There are ripe notes, and the nose felt a little blurry, slowly revealing some notes of hay and straw, with hints of esparto grass. They had some hail in 2015, so the quantities were lower because they had to sort the grapes. The palate reflects the fine minerality the chalky soils provide and also the tasty, almost salty finish. Some 7,000 bottles were produced in 2015.
