Château Les Ormes De Pez

Chateau Les Ormes de Pez takes its name from the village of Pez near St Estèphe, as do the other nearby cru bourgeois properties of de Pez and La Tour de Pez. Les Ormes translates as elms, and betrays the presence of a copse of these trees, long since disappeared, near the chateau.

Château Les Ormes de Pez 2009

TASTING NOTES:
Pure creme de cassis fruit intermixed with hints of charcoal, smoke, and crushed rocks; medium to full-bodied and pure with good freshness as well as a soft, layered mouthfeel

Château Ormes de Pez 2009

My best friend Introduced it to me.
The wine is red ruby colour, and has reddish brown edges. I liked its toasted aromas. I found it quite light.
I had the pleasure of taking it with a barbecue.

Château Les Ormes de Pez 2015
Red tinted with browny edges. The 2015 smells like violets. Reminded me of burned wood and it was a pleasant taste.
It was too well-bodied for our meal.
I tried it on a tasting course.
