The traditional Bodega Vega Sicilia, one of the most recognized wineries worldwide, has established Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5º 2014 as one of its letters of presentation thanks to its exceptional quality. With three and a half years of barrel aging, it is the youngest wine in the house, and combines in its structure the best grapes from the Ribera del Duero of the Tempranillo, Merlot, and Cabernet varieties.
The 2014 vintage of the Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5th Year 2014 was featured with high scores in publications such as Parker (96 points), Peñín (95 points), and Sucking (96 points). 2014 Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5º Año (Tinta del País, Malbec, Merlot, Tempranillo, Tinto Fino, Tinta Fina and Cabernet Sauvignon)
- View: intense and brilliant ruby color with garnet and purple hues.
- Nose: intense and citrus aromas, with notes of black fruits, licorice and smoked spices.
- Mouth: enveloping flavor with spicy notes of ripe red fruits and well integrated tannins.
APPELLATION: Ribera del Duero (Castilla y Leon, Spain).
VINEYARD: Vega Sicilia.
GRAPES: Tinta del Pais, Malbec, Merlot, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon.
AGEING: Madura for a period of 42 months in barrels of French and American oak, and should be refined for 18 months in bottle.
PREPARATION: After the grapes are selected carefully and handpicked, they undergo a fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperatures of 32 °C for 15 days, and cold maceration.
WINE PAIRING: Stews, soups, vegetables and game meats.
TEMPERATURE: 16-18 °C
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 12%
