2014 Marchesi de Frescobaldi Mormoreto
- View: Attractive and impenetrable intense ruby red color.
- Nose: This wine has a complex nose; red fruits such as blackberry and raspberry, almond and fig jam, which are balanced with spicy notes of roasted coffee beans, cocoa butter and a hint of vanilla.
- Mouth: The palate offers dense and polished black chocolate, dried blueberries, raw almonds and candied figs with fine-grained tannins.
APPELLATION: Tuscany (Italy).
VINEYARD: Marchesi de 'Frescobaldi.
GRAPES: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc 20%, 15% Sangiovese 5% Petit Verdot.
AGEING: The wort is refined for 24 months in oak barrels, then 6 months in bottle.
PREPARATION: This wine spends 15 days in stainless steel tanks, then maceration on the skins for 20 days.
