2017 Niepoort Vintage (Tinto Cão, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Francisca)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: This port is a dark ruby highlights with color.
- Nose: The nose exhales deep aromas of black fruit and spices and earthy notes.
- Mouth: Fresh attack leaves room in the mouth with spicy and fruity with pleasant tannins, the finish is long and silky.

VINEYARD: Niepoort The house is a story of family, five generations and 150 years of history to develop and refine a skill that can offer a great port today. The grapes come from different regions 5 the farm belonging directly to the holding or independent winemakers. In recent years, almost the entire area is being converted to biodynamic farming, environmental and sustainable development.
GRAPES: Tinta Francisca, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cao, Tinta Amarela, Sousón
AGEING: This port is high 2 years in oak barrels.
PREPARATION: The harvest is done by hand and the grapes are trampled in the purest tradition. Then the wine is aged during winter in large barrels before being transferred to reproduction. 2017 was particularly difficult because of the heat and lack of rainfall, but with a colder autumn, the grapes have reached a good early ripening, although yields were lower.
PAIRING: This wine is ideal as an aperitif or with blue cheese.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 12-14 ° C
ALCOHOL: 19.5%
