2015 Château L'Évangile (Merlot)

TASTING NOTES OF 2015 Château L'Évangile:

  • View: Château L'Evangile 2015 is very dark red.
  • Nose: Deep nose.
  • Mouth: oily, long and firm palate and a fine and velvety texture. A great save millésime long.

WINERY: Château l'Evangile

GRAPES: Merlot 80 to 90%, Cabernet Franc 10 to 20%

AGEING: 18 months in barrels (70% new)

Chateau L'Evangile 2015

Its full body outshined the menu. A bottle of this red is perfect in intimate togetherness.
Strong ruby red tones. Reminded me of wild berries. Salty touch, like the sea, cool.

We had it while we waited for the meal, with appetizers. Perfect wine to share with friends.
It has a dark red colour. Toffee notes can be appreciated. In the palate is warm and dense.

I bought a box of this 2017 on the internet.
It's red with a violet edge. Coffee aromas. The taste was like fresh grapes.

It wasn't well paired with food.
