1979 Château Pontet Canet (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot)

TASTING NOTES OF 1979 Château Pontet Canet:
- View: Château Pontet Canet 1979 presents a beautiful intense, clear and bright color. Color very strong, crimson with tawny hues.
- Nose: The nose is pleasant, open and thin. Aromas of ripe fruit. It was initially influenced by the wood, but will fade thereafter. There are aromas of precious wood, ripe red and black fruit (blueberries and plums) and marked spices including vanilla, and slightly Animal edge.
- Mouth: The taste is pleasant, full and velvety. A certain heaviness is compensated with a beautiful freshness. It feels a little traces of parenting, but the tannins are well integrated and fine. The mid-palate is quite powerful, but still good. Good length with the freshness and highly digestible

GRAPES: Cabernet Sauvignon - Merlot - Cabernet Franc - Petit Verdot
WINERY: Château Pontet-Canet

Château Pontet Canet 1979

To this red would have suit better a softer meat. My parents favorite wine.
It has a nice colour. Aromas of oak. Nice, dense, warm in the mouth.

First of all, you'll perceive a raspberry flavour. The best aftertaste of Pauillac.
The Château Pontet Canet is very good if served cold.

Cherry colour with brown edges. Aromas of coffee and wood. A red fairly astringent.
It wasn't well paired with food.
We tested this Château Pontet-Canet with the club members.

Pauillac Château Pontet Canet 5Ème Cru Classé 2013
I bought it at a wine tasting stand.
Pauillac Château Pontet Canet 5Ème Cru Classé reveals a fantastic tinge. In my opinion, the most noticeable smell is raspberry. Subtle saltiness on the finish.
