“Neal and Judy Ibbotson who were the pioneers in the area of Marlborough, they planted the first vineyard in 1978. The name comes from Saint Clair Sinclair family, the first owner of the estate. Marlborough: a special region E 'incredible, but the Marlborough wine region has only thirty years! In the seventies, the first vines were planted, but the potential was discovered when the first wines of 1986 were placed in the international market. The Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough has a flavor that no one has ever heard, a style that made him famous wine of New Zealand, not to be forgotten.
Saint Clair produces its wines in the northern tip of New Zealand, where the vineyards are protected by the mountains on both sides and the sun warms the grapes for many hours a day. For this reason, the grape has achieved a perfect balance of sweetness and acid, developing unique aromas and well representative of the terroir. It is no coincidence that Decanter has chosen for two years Sauvignon Saint Clair Sauvignon as the best in the world. Despite the great success worldwide, Saint Clair remains a family business, guided always with the same passion as Neal and Judy. If you want to experience Sauvignon of great elegance, able to tell the soul of an ancient land, surrounded by the waters of 'Pacific Ocean, Saint Clair is the best choice.
