2004 Alter Ego de Palmer (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot)

TASTING NOTES OF 2004 Alter Ego de Palmer:

  • View: Bright, deep ruby color.
  • Nose: Wasting no time, operates a bouquet of black fruits (blackcurrants, blackberries and plums), mint, cardamom, vanilla, musk, smoke and moss. After aeration licorice notes appear.
  • Mouth: opens with a fresh, ripe fruitiness and, instantly, is accompanied by freshness. The elegant tannins impose a solid base and gently soften the fruit. All quickly it comes together to make an admirable harmony. With great pleasure the wine continues its soft and serene progression for a long, delicious finish.

Here, the terroir of Margaux is exemplary and promises to remain so for long. This wine should be at its peak between 2009 and 2020.

I love to sharing this wine with friends.
Red as a Cherry. Sure smell of gooseberries. I think it was a little bit salty.
A Alter Ego de Palmer that we had as a dessert of a good meal.
